HOOKBOY / GETTING STARTED

How to turn a video opening into a branded continuation with HookBoy

Extract a hook, add branding and up to ten image references, review the script and quote, then compare completed HookBoy video takes.

Your first useful result

Keep the opening that earned attention, then build a continuation for your product or campaign. Work through Hook, Brand, Settings and Videos in a named project. Review the literal source, the new message and the finished stitch as separate decisions.

Create a story you can return to

Use the first-project control in the workspace or Projects in the header. Name the campaign for the product and purpose so its sources, scripts and takes stay recognisable. Both entrances reach the same saved work. Confirm the intended account and project before importing a source from another campaign or using an earlier take.

Capture the exact opening

In Hook, upload an authorised clip or paste a supported video URL. Choose the precise start and end, then inspect the segment and literal transcript. Keep spoken source words distinct from the rewritten continuation. Listen with sound: a timeline boundary can look correct while cutting part of a sentence or losing an important visual beat.

Build a brand brief and reference set

In Brand, add the website and creative direction. Review extracted colours, branding and descriptions instead of assuming every page element describes your offer. Add up to ten relevant images for the interface, product and visual direction. Explain each image's role. A project can store ten references while the selected video adapter accepts fewer in one request.

Review the bridge and narration

Read the narration and visual direction together. The continuation should follow the original words without falsely implying the source speaker endorsed your product. Check facts, offer details and the requested action. Edit an unclear proposition before generation. Better imagery cannot repair incorrect pricing or a confusing transition already written into the script.

Approve settings and the bounded price

Select the supported provider, model, duration, resolution, audio and aspect ratio in Settings. Choose framing for the destination. Inspect the action's displayed fixed cost or maximum quote before generation. Changed request settings can require a new quote; the price of an earlier take is not approval for a different one.

Compare the complete result and saved takes

The stage shows the available source, extracted hook, continuation or finished stitch. Follow actual progress and wait for completion. Use Videos to compare takes or reuse an approved result as another source. Check the join, audio, product appearance and ending in the finished download. If a job is uncertain, inspect its status before resubmitting and review any final charge or released reservation in Account.

Common questions

Why are fewer than ten references used?

The project reference limit and a provider's request-specific limit are different. Review the selected adapter's supported inputs.

What should I keep after a failed generation?

Retain the source, brief, script and useful references. Keep the safe job reference and inspect whether the request failed or remains uncertain.
