Before you start
A PDF you have permission to edit and a saved original copy.
1. Open and inspect
Open the PDF editor and choose your document. Navigate to the correct page and zoom in until the target area is clear.
2. Use Form fields
Open a PDF with interactive form fields, enter the values and review each field. Decide whether to flatten the fields on export.
3. Download a new copy
Review the edited page, open the download dialog and save a separate file. Inspect the downloaded file rather than relying only on the preview.
Check the result
Reopen the downloaded document and confirm values, checkboxes and field editability.
What to know
Keeping fields interactive requires unchanged page structure and no redaction; otherwise the export flattens fields.
