Before you start
The source assets for your project and a clear delivery goal.
1. Collect the current documents
Use the final copies and list the required attachments. Convert images to PDF when necessary; server Word conversion has a different processing path.
2. Build the reading order
Merge PDFs, then use Organise to remove duplicates and arrange cover letters, forms and attachments. Rotate any sideways scans.
3. Complete the document
Use the editor for added text, form values and a drawn signature where appropriate. If information must be removed, use redaction rather than whiteout and review the output carefully.
4. Meet the delivery requirements
Compress if the receiving system has a size limit. Reopen the final file, confirm page order and readability, then save it with a clear version name.
Check the result
Before sharing, reopen the finished files and check them on the type of device your audience will use. Keep original material separate from delivery copies.
What to know
Keep the original documents. Compression, redaction and flattened annotations can change text selection or editability in the final file.
