Use the Repaint before-and-after comparison

Inspect the sample cleanup and learn what to check in a finished edit.

Before you start

The before-and-after alpine lake example.

1. Inspect the original

Move the comparison handle to reveal the original. Note the person, their outline and the scenery around them.

2. Reveal the cleaned image

Drag toward the opposite side to see the cleaned landscape. On a keyboard, focus the slider and use the arrow keys.

3. Check the replacement area

Look at the lake edge, mountains and foreground where the person appeared. Compare shapes and textures rather than judging only the absence of the person.

Check the result

Check repeated textures, smeared detail and broken edges around the removed object. Inspect the result at full size when preparing a real image.

What to know

This website comparison uses prepared sample images. It does not process your photo; the live editor’s brush and export instructions need its current interface.
