Before you start
The source assets for your project and a clear delivery goal.
1. Identify what should stay
Decide what matters in the photo before removing anything. Keep a source copy and note details that must remain unchanged.
2. Assess the surrounding detail
Objects against simple textures are easier to reconstruct than objects crossing text, faces or complex geometry. Consider whether cropping is a better solution.
3. Work in small regions
In an object-removal editor, make small selections and inspect each result. Include the distracting object’s shadow when necessary, but preserve useful neighbouring detail.
4. Review at two sizes
Check the edit at full size for texture issues and at normal viewing size for overall credibility. Compare the Repaint sample to see how a before-and-after review works.
Check the result
Before sharing, reopen the finished files and check them on the type of device your audience will use. Keep original material separate from delivery copies.
What to know
Use this workflow inside your Repaint project. Select the region carefully, apply the repair and compare the result before exporting. The public before-and-after comparison uses sample content.
